Que Tom Dalby tinha muitos talentos, já sabíamos. Mas vejam só isto que ele agora desenvolveu. Uma aplicação que nas duas bandas da rádio, AM e FM, apresenta 13 músicas muito bem conseguidas. Será que conseguem adivinhá-las todas sem fazer batota, isto é, ver o ficheiro de texto que acompanha este lançamento?
A primeira que sintonizámos foi muito fácil, Safety Dance, mas noutras, o grau de dificuldade já apela às nossas capacidades de melómano experiente.
Podem vir aqui descarregar The Spirit of Radio - Part 1 - AM Radio Edition. Não vai haver Woot!, mas nem por isso vamos deixar de ter o habitual espírito Natalício desta época. Utilizem "M" e "L" para trocar de banda, e "R" e "T" para sintonizar.

ResponderEliminarAlso: it's funny how people's impression of well-known music differs! I have absolutely no clue what Safety Dance is (never heard of it…), but I was pleased to find that I know nine of the thirteen pieces of music built into this. And who doesn't know classic Christmas carols (even in novel arrangements like the Mike Oldfield one) such as Silent Night, Coventry Carol and In Dulci Jubilo? As for the Dad's Army theme and the 'Benny Hill chase music' (Jakety Sax)… well, maybe you've got to be British. But they're perfect 80s choices for inclusion in Spectrum software like this. The beeper renditions are really very well done, too, so all in all I enjoyed this little program a lot more than I'd expected to. Well done, Jim!
